I had just the opposite reaction as I read A Wild Pursuit. This is the first book I have read from Eloisa James, and I very much enjoyed her.

Vaguely reminds me of the Decameron, assorted people assembled in a country villa where they passed time exchanging tales of nonsense, qild case of this book however, sampling lives of nonsense. From the description of the last book in this series, “Your Wicked Ways”, it appears as if Helene and Rees figure dominantly. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. Stephen was an interesting hero, coolly logical and yet inexplicably drawn to Bea despite her reputation. The love and loyalty between Esme, Helene, Bea and Arabella was a delight to read and contributed a lot to my enjoyment of the novel. The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader: A Wild Pursuit by Eloisa James
Since Bea is unmarried and her family and Society have rejected her, her behavior seemed foolish in the extreme. The continuing story wilc all of the other characters is still fun though.
Who would have thought you to be so rare a stirrer? That scene was wonderfully done and I legitimately cried reading it, it was so wonderfully sweet and heartwarming.
